Sketch 1:Learning to Draw

An architect should DEFINITELY know how to draw, right? I saw this "shed in the woods" on the internet and drew it. I thought it was interesting. Simple, but interesting. As time goes by I'm sure that my drawing and analytical skills will improve.

We are learning the reality of architecture. Not just wild imagination and abstractions, but the processes of bringing those figments of our artistic illusions to actuality. From studio to lecture courses, we are being encouraged to think like a REAL architect.
So this week and the one before, I have been inwardly focused on just that. Reality. Is it not all about that? The creations of a REAL architect's imagination are what we see as the REALITY of architecture in our world.
And so, I look forward to learning all that there is to learn this semester and start on my journey to be a actual architect.
